The drive to the lovely coastal town of Bicheno takes just over two hours, but with many wonderful places to enjoy the coastline and lovely historic towns a full day should be allowed to enjoy the journey. Try combining a short walk in either the historic town of Sorell or Buckland, a ferry ride to Maria Island National Park for lunch or a less hurried stop in either Orford or Triabunna. Continue up the spectacular coast road with possible visits to Swansea Wattle Bark Mill and Freycinet Vineyard or a visit to the East Coast Birdlife and Animal Park is worthwhile.
