As the surrounding area is dotted with apple and cherry orchards, each season brings a different landscape. The hotel is right on the water, serves splendid food and is a perfect spot for a break on a day trip. Nearby attractions include the Marine Discovery Centre and Hartzview Vineyard. The village shop sells local crafts and gourmet food. For a few weeks in summer, Domeney Fruit Farm, a short drive to the south, sells freshly picked cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries.
