Visitors are reminded of English country lanes as they wander through this pretty village which lies on the edge of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. As the surrounding area is dotted with apple and cherry orchards, each season brings a different landscape. The hotel is right on the water, serves splendid food and is a perfect spot for a break on a day trip. Nearby attractions include the Marine Discovery Centre and Hartzview Vineyard. The village shop sells local crafts and gourmet food. For a few weeks in summer, Domeney Fruit Farm, a short drive to the south, sells freshly picked cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries.
