WebsiteThe only surf life-saving club in southern Tasmania operates from this beach each summer. The club rooms are on the beach and the car park is nearby. A little to the north, the mouth of the Carlton River attracts serious surfers, but this area is also notoriously dangerous so caution is needed, particularly in rough seas. The views from Carlton beach reward walkers and those seeking tranquillity, as with all Tasmanian beaches, it is underpopulated and unpolluted.
