Website | EmailTake a day and savour the breathtaking views on this spectacular short cut from the East Coast to Port Arthur. A gravel road meanders through majestic forest with grand blue gums towering overhead. A detour to Thumbs Lookout near Orford will not disappoint. The walk to the lookout has spectacular coastal views and there is also a pleasant rainforest walk. Picnic at either site or try the easy Wielangata Walk along an old tramway to a long abandoned ghost town. Details are available from Forestry Tasmania or the Hobart Visitor Information Centre.
