A landmark tower identifies this church, which stands in an almost unspoiled colonial streetscape. Partly designed by John Lee Archer, Tasmania's finest colonial architect, it dates back to 1838. The most unusual Greco-Egyptian design is of great architectural, as well as spiritual, interest. The sanctuary window is particularly beautiful. Boxed pews remind us of past worshippers. A written guide is available for visitors.
