Housed in a lovely old brick building on a strategic corner, this neighborhood restaurant is something of a Hobart institution. A separate outlet next door offers takeaway. Soft lights and good quality napery create a relaxing ambiance. It is quite large, so there are plenty of tables but it still manages to maintain intimacy. Good quality Italian family style food is on offer. Expect all the favorites. Pastas come in three sizes with the largest costing AUD12.50. A tasty soup is only about AUD4. The restaurant is licensed, but you can also bring your own bottle of wine.
