What was once the manager’s residence for the Cascade Brewery, this venue has been totally refurbished in floor to ceiling glass and stone with surrounding mirror ponds and fountains. The food is of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. The beer, which can accompany your meal, comes from right across the street from the oldest brewery in Australia. There is also a small, but well chosen and inexpensive wine list. Only a five minute drive from Hobart Central will find you exceptional value for money, views of a memorable garden and a lovely spot to while away the afternoon. -Janice Barton
