The Kafe Kara people have expanded into Salamanca Square. The bold minimalist interior of zinc fittings and Chinese red walls certainly packs a punch and the tables, in true cafe style, tumble out into the square. The menu is tiny-basically pasta and pizza-but the food is exceptionally good. Coffee and cakes fill the gaps. Unusually, you need to pay before you eat and credit cards are not accepted, but service is speedy and friendly. No waiter arrogance here!
