Website | EmailThis excellent bar and restaurant is located just ten minutes north of Hobart. Bring your appetite and a step ladder, as the food here is not only good, it's served in huge portions. There are open fires in the bar area, which makes it a great place to drink one of the eight beers on tap or to choose a glass of wine from the menu, which includes international and local labels. Try the award winning Chicken Parmigiana or the huge King Island Porterhouse Steak with pepper sauce. It is pub food of excellent quality and amazing quantity. In the warmer months there is also an outdoor beer garden in which to spend an afternoon or evening. Reservations are definitely recommended, as this restaurant is very popular with the locals. – Janice Barton
