WebsiteLamma has long enjoyed its well-deserved reputation as a hippie hangout. Although the atmosphere is still artsy, the handover to China and changes in immigration laws for British citizens has seen the bohemian community shrink considerably. Rents are still cheap however, making property very affordable. For a great day out, take the ferry from Central to Yung Shue Wan, spend some time on Hung Shing Ye Beach and then hike over to Sok Kwu Wan for an evening meal in one of the many seafood restaurants before heading back to Central or Aberdeen.
