For those with a yearning for British stodge, have no fear the Chippy is here. It looks like the real thing with the chrome counter, makeshift seating, and the smell of batter, fried chips and sour vinegar. Apart from the lack of pickled onions, the menu is a stickler for tradition. Cod in batter (around HKD65), chicken, thick chips and British ales (less than HKD25). Popular at lunchtime, not just with homesick Britons, but also with office workers in the neighbourhood, the Chippy also has a delivery service that is free in the Central area.
