The Archaeology Museum is right at the top of the old part of Ibiza city (Dalt Vila), declared a World Heritage site by Unesco. It stands right next to the cathedral, and the museum building used to be the rector's office of the University of Ibiza. The Archaeology Museum has a large collection of objects discovered at sites around the island. There are exhibits dating from the Phoenician-Punic, Roman, Arab and Medieval periods. There are also several Egyptian cameos. Among the other objects of interest, you can also find two Roman sculptures that originally stood at either side of the main gate of the city walls. There are some books on sale, including a small, complete guide to the museum.
Open Hours: Las horas varian por la temporada.
