EmailThe magnificent mountains that surround Innsbruck are absolutely ideal for hiking. The Innsbruck Tourist Board offers a series of scenic walks led by guides from the Alpine School. There are about 40 different routes to choose from, ranging from three-five hours in length. No mountain climbing experience is required, although participants should be in good physical condition and bring their own boots, waterproofs, sun-cream and refreshments. The walks are free for holders of the Club Innsbruck Card (i.e. tourists staying in or around Innsbruck). Participants who complete three different walks are entitled to a free mountain climbing expedition. Participants should register at their hotel the day before they wish to take part.
