Website | EmailThe remarkable historic townhall is situated approximately 10 km from Innsbruck, in the centre of the old-city of Hall, Tyrol. It is found directly on Oberer Stadtplatz. The former city castle once belonged to the count Heinrich of Görz-Tyrol (1295 - 1335), king of Böhmen. He himself named it "King's House". The building has served as the townhall since 1406 when Duke Leopold IV gave it as a gift to the city of Hall. The building consists of two parts. The western side is taken up by the Oberer Stadtplatz; the west wing houses the splendid grand hall and is now a popular venue for wedding ceremonies. The easterly section is embellished with a huge renaissance-style stone portal. For those travelling by car there is underground parking at the Stadtgraben and Unterer Stadtplatz.
