Website | EmailLocated just east of downtown at the corner of High and Pearl Streets, this sprawling expanse is used year-round for special events and popular commercial and state-sponsored functions. The Mississippi Coliseum, home of the Jackson Bandits, stands proudly on the grounds, as do the Mississippi Trade Mart and the Kirk Fordice Equine Center , which is used for equestrian and livestock events. The oldest fairgrounds in the Southeast, the complex is home each October to the festive Mississippi State Fair, and each February hosts the Dixie National Rodeo and Livestock Show.
