The Al Wasiti Centre is one of a handful of art galleries which houses a rich collection of contemporary Palestinian, as opposed to Israeli art. A ten minute ride from the Old City, it is situated in a traditional Arab Style stone building, and has a permanent collection of art available to the visitor upon request, as well as frequent exhibitions by local and international artists, many of Palestinian origin. The library is accessible by appointment, and offers a vast collection of books and slides on Palestinian art. This place is a rare and interesting find.
