Built around 1880 as a French hospice, this hotel specifically welcomes pilgrims to the Old City. Situated right outside the walls themselves, and just opposite of New Gate, this elaborately decorated building has a Catholic church on its first floor, and a French restaurant which is reputedly one of the best of its kind in Jerusalem. Many of the rooms have a view of the Old City. All rooms are large and well furnished. No credit cards are accepted.
