Only for those with stomachs strong enough to withstand the nauseating four-hour boat ride to the island. However, once you step on the creamy sands, all is forgotten. Thronged by tourists in micro-mini bathing suits and private yacht owners, the island is popular for its numerous solitary lagoons, offshore pools, those "now-you-see-me-now-you-don't" corals and licensed water sports operators. Chalets and resorts built in traditional kampong style are available for rent. History buffs, take note: rumor has it that the waters around Pulau Aur and the adjoining island, Pulau Dayang, are practically teeming with artifacts from shipwrecks of old.
