A highly popular Cantonese restaurant among local residents and day-tripping Singaporeans, the New HongKong Restaurant occupies two adjoined standalone double storey shophouses. The exterior has been painted bright red as part of an Oriental decor theme that continues through the Chinese-arched entrance to numerous ink brush paintings within. Dim sum is available daily and packs in the crowds during weekends and public holidays. The main menu lists an array of familiar Cantonese seafood, fish, poultry and vegetable dishes, including the more expensive Chinese delicacies like abalone and shark's fin. Chinese tea, soft drinks and beer are also available.
