This was the main venue for the 16th Commonwealth Games in 1998, the second largest games in the world. The most unique feature is its roof, which spreads over an expansive area of 38,256 square metres, built so that spectators will remain dry when it rains. The complex is fully equipped with all the latest telecommunications features and amenities to accommodate the needs of athletes, media and spectators.
