There is also an indoor theme park. Other attractions include an 18-hole golf course, cable cars and a boating lake. As the resort is only 48km from Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands gets very crowded at weekends and school holidays. Located some 2,000 metres above sea level, the noon temperatures stay moderate, a respite from the city heat.
