Museo Amano houses the valuable private collection of Yoshirato Amano. The collection was opened to the public in 1964 and contains one of the most extraordinary collections of pre-Hispanic textiles in Lima today. Each room in this private house belonging to Amano contains a different collection. These collections include pre-Hispanic textiles, old quipus, ceramic pieces, and a wonderful collection of artifacts from the Chancay culture originating from the Peruvian coast. To visit this beautiful museum, you need to call in advance and arrange an appointment. There is no fixed entry price; visitors pay whatever they feel is appropriate. Opening times depend on when appointments are scheduled.
