The "Ebony Hands" restaurant is a dining tradition. This beautiful former manor conjures Lima's beach resort aristocracy of yesteryear. Now painted blue and surrounded by well-kept gardens, it is a virtual epicurean temple of Afro-Peruvian heritage. Specializing in typical Criollo (Creole) cuisine, the soup is highly recommended, as are the Anticuchos (grilled meat brochettes), Carapulcra (a dehydrated variety of potato) and the national alcoholic beverage, the Pisco Sour (made from distilled fermented muscatel grapes). Vibrant folkloric performances take place from Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
