The airport operates transatlantic, European and national routes. Among the airlines who use Shannon are Aer Lingus, Aeroflot, British Airways, Ryanair, Continental, Delta, Royal Jordanian, Pakistan International and Virgin Express. The airport is home to Shannon Duty Free shopping, for those taking transatlantic flights, where you can avail of low priced products ranging from perfume, liquor, tobacco, linen, books and jewellery. Many of the items on sale are Irish-made. The airport has a resturant, 'The Lindberg Room'. It is named after the pioneer of transatlantic travel Charles Lindberg. It offers good food and great value for money.
