This beach acquired its name because along the river that flows into Praia das Maçãs, there were once several apple trees. In the summer the apples fell into the river and washed up on the beach. This beach has an extensive shore and lifeguards are on duty. Located nearby you will find bars, cafes, restaurants, and gift shops.
