Website | EmailThe former home of António de Medeiros e Almeida (1895-1986) was transformed into a house-museum of the artist in the 1970s. One part of the museum is a preservation of the artist's living quarters and gardens. Throughout the rest of the property, there are 25 showrooms, and the collection includes painting, furniture, tapestry, glass, jewelery and 225 watches, which are divided up chronologically (from the 16th century to the present). There is also an enormous collection of Chinese porcelain, from prehistoric terracotta (Han Dynasty) to late-18th-century works. Also on display are some pieces of the well-known English silversmith Paul Storr (1792-1838), and some 16th-18th-century Portuguese silver, including a collection of about 80 paliteiros of Portuguese silver and Vista Alegre porcelain. The cost is EUR5, EUR3 with a discount, and free for those under 10 years old.
