Website | EmailLocated in the south end of the city, this historic 1950s terraced house is one of the largest tourist attractions on Merseyside. Now owned by the National Trust, it was once the home of the McCartney family and where Paul McCartney and John Lennon used to rehearse and write many of the Beatles early songs. Look closely and you will see original lyrics scribbled on a bedroom wall. Early Beatles memorabilia is on display and you can hear a recorded commentary by Paul and Michael McCartney. Access is by minibus tours only from Speke Hall and the Albert Dock tourist office.
