Website | EmailLiverpool's only remaining medieval church can be found in the conservation area of Childwall. Although the building itself was altered during the 18th and 19th century, a church has been on this site since the 14th century and much of the remaining stonework dates from that period. An impressive set of Births, Marriages and Burials covering the entire period from 1557 to the end of the 18th century are held in the parish; the oldest gravestone at the church bears the dates 1620 to 1686. The interior of the church is quite spectacular and is well worth a visit.
