Website | EmailOn the eve of the First World War, three shepherds were tending their flock as was their habit when, in a flash of light, the Virgin Mary appeared in all her glory. The shepherds fell to their knees in wonder, having witnessed the miracle of miracles. The incident took place in Fatima, Portugal, and has since become one of the most sacred days in the Catholic Church calendar, observed every May 13th. In Macau, an image of the Virgin Mary is taken to the Our Lady of Penha Chapel. It is rather a solemn occasion but well worth witnessing.
