Celebrated at some time between late January and late February, this is the most colorful occasion in the packed Macao festival calendar. The streets are decked out with flowers and lanterns, children are given good luck pockets,lai si, usually containing a little money. Grandparents are honored by their sons and daughters, and everyone eats a great deal, even more than usual.
