The Chinese New Year includes the traditional dragon dance through the streets in and around Chinatown. Manchester has one of the largest ethnic Chinese populations in the UK, so this is always a major, spectacular event. It is also a great time to visit one of the excellent restaurants in the quarter as the dragon weaves in and out of each one, creating an atmosphere that can be quite magical.
