It is popular with thirty-somethings who can enjoy their meals in front of an open fire, accompanied by live jazz from local artists. There is a daily special menu before 7p - at £9.95 for two courses and £12.95 for three. Starters such as fennel seed crostini cost £5.95 while main dishes are around £14 - try monk fish, scallop and king prawn fricassee. There is a good selection of wines available, a decent Chilean red costs around £12.
