Large and ultra-modern, Volts is an impressive, glossy, purpose-built nightclub - built as part of the major Grand Central leisure complex in the centre of Stockport - split over 2 floors with a large main dance-floor, multiple bars and sweeping viewing balconies.The music policy at weekends is strictly commercial, concentrating on garage, chart dance-pop and house, although earlier on in the week you can find occasional student, Indie and heavy rock nights with cheap admission and regular special drink promotions.
