In cosmopolitan Marbella there just had to be a Japanese restaurant. It's on the outskirts of Puerto Banús, and has a terrace outside and a large dining room decorated with prints and tapestries with Japanese motifs. If you have never tried Japanese food, do try the specialities of the house, including sushi, sashimi, yakitori and sukiyaki, all based on very fresh, pickled filleted fish, served with boiled rice, Chinese cabbage leaves and seaweed salad with pepper. Also try the sake and herbal teas. The service and wine list are excellent, with white, rose and red wines on offer. Business lunches can be arranged, and at weekends lots of young people in their thirties tend to go there.
