The cultural and artistic kaleidoscope that is Maui is augmented by yet another world-class local artist. Originally from South Africa, artist Hettie Saaiman creates vivid, gloriously colorful renderings of animals and plants. While the subjects of her artwork used to be of her homeland, she has shifted her focus to Maui, the island that first captured her creative interest. Visitors to her Whaler's Village gallery can see her latest finished pieces and watch the artist at work.
