The Victorian Pyrene specializes in red wine. Because the grapes develop over a long, dry growing season, the flavours are concentrated and deep. Redbank Winery makes superior quality dry red wines--full-bodied and elegant--including Cabernet and Shiraz. The winery also produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling. The winery's unique character is established not only by the wines, but also by the building itself. Built from one hundred-year-old hand-made bricks, and local red ironbark timber, the rustic colonial feel complements the bushland setting. In the Flying Pig Deli, visitors can drink a glass of wine and relax over a gourmet antipasto plate, or a fabulous selection of speciality cheeses.
