To the north east of Melbourne, in the gateways to the Victorian snowfields, you will find the King and Alpine Valleys, which are now becoming recognised for their cooler climate fresh, crisp table wines. Nestled in the center of the Lana Trento vineyards is the Pizzini wine label's winery and cellar door. Here visitors can taste the wines, as well as purchase by the bottle. Pizzini specialise in Italian varietal wines Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Vernaccia and Bianco. They also produce mainstream varieties a rich Shiraz, a rounded Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. The cellar door is marketed in conjunction with the local Mountainview Hotel, where you can find accommodation, a bar and beer garden, and a warm and welcoming dining room with great food such as the delicious gourmet pizzas. Pizzini Lana Trento also has bed and breakfast accommodation a cosy cottage which sleeps four people.
