Daylesford, the spa capital of Victoria is renowned for the healing waters of its many mineral springs, each with a unique chemical makeup. A fashionable resort in the late 1800s, Daylesford and nearby Hepburn Springs are just as popular today. Do not miss a dip in a spa, sauna, flotation pool--or at least taste the spring waters. Other things to do include a boat ride on Daylesford's pretty lake, a historic train trip through the Wombat State Forest, or a walk to the extinct volcanic crater on nearby Mount Franklin. The town's main Vincent Street is a warren of gourmet eateries and trendy shops.
