Mexicali Rose is regarded as being one of Melbourne's best Mexican restaurants. Bright, rustic coloured walls of pale yellow, blue and exotic pink surround the Spanish arches inside its doors. A variety of the Santa Fe, Tex Mex style tacos are available in fish, chicken and shredded beef. The sikle-pak pumpkinseed dip is a speciality as is the Pollo Con Avocado and Mole Poblano. Vegetarian options are also available. Drinks include Margaritas and a selection of 35 imported tequilas. A special menu is created every May 5th to celebrate Mexican Independence Day.
