The owners claim this restaurant is the first in Victoria modelled on a traditional dhaba--a no-glamour, Indian street café serving wholesome foods at affordable prices.The casual ebb and flow of patrons and the thick aroma of tasty Indian food make Guru Da Dhaba a very pleasant spot indeed. The decor is low-key and the atmosphere is reminiscent of an old style coffee lounge.The food is sourced from local markets and relies on a secret mixture of freshly ground spices. Try typical Indian staples such as Murg Palak, Punjabi Macchi and Malai Kofti. A chaat menu (snacks) is also available on weekends.
