The restaurant serves hearty country Japanese fare, the staples being donburi rice (or rice with toppings) and steaming bowls of noodle soup. All meat is free-range and organic and the dishes are simple and wholesome. Chocolate Buddha’s interior mixes modern crisp-edged furniture with traditional Japanese touches. Diners sit at communal tables, perched on stools with cushions of bright Japanese patchwork.
