This long-time St Kilda fixture still maintains its high standards. Koto background music and kimono-clad waitresses create a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Seating options are tables and chairs, shoes-off private rooms and booths. There are three menus. The English and takeaway menus include standard sushi and tempura as well as more unusual creations such as battera zushi (mackerel) and unagi-hako zush (eel). The Japanese language menu offers items rarely found in local Japanese restaurants, such as okra (soy bean pulp) with dried bonito, daikon radish with jako (small dried fish) and popular natto (fermented soy beans). Fully licensed and "bring your own".
