The Balkan region is better known for its explosive political situation and deep-seated ethnic rivalries than for its cooking, but this restaurant aims to showcase the cuisines of the various ethnic groups that call the region home. Whatever their other differences the Balkan peoples seem to share a love of meat--this is no place for the vegetarian! The food is hearty and home cooked, with a peasant feel. The restaurant is small, with Spartan decor and a low-key family feel.
