Established in 1959, Lebanese House claims to be the first restaurant to introduce Middle Eastern cuisine in Australia. The value for money meals provide an ideal break from cooking at home. The owner is friendly and the atmosphere is unpretentious, concentrating more on serving small mountains of hummus and other favorites from the region. A belly dancer performs regularly on Friday and Saturday nights. Side dishes and desserts are yummy. A special lunch menu features mixed grills, dips with coffee and sweets. Vegetarian options are also available. If you are after a sugar rush, be sure to try their famous Lemon Juice. It's also virtually the only place left where you can get a cappuccino.
