This modern Somali café is one of a cluster of African businesses that’s sprouted up in Racecourse Road in recent years. Its interior is bright and individualistic, with purple ottomans running the length of polished wood tables, all set against a backdrop of maroon and purple walls. Drop in for the cake and coffee special (AUD5) or sample one of the Somali main courses. The café’s simple, 4-item menu includes fish curry, spiced steak, and suqaar (Somali curry) served with malawah (Somali pancakes).
