Inspired by Johnnie Brooks, a famous 1940s New York cocktail maker, the owners decided on a cocktail focus for Kelvin. Patrons flock here for the mellow atmosphere as well as the great cocktails. This establishment feels like a series of connected living rooms, largely due to the comfortable seats and availability of games such as Battleship, Scrabble and Cluedo. Two large velvet curtains on the front window pay homage to the revered Valhalla art house cinema that used to operate across the street. House beer and wine, basic spirits and bar snacks are available.
