For almost 60 years, landlady Kath Byer has presided over this sprawling, suburban empire, soon to become registered by the National Trust. She has witnessed the neighborhood evolve from factory and farming district to suburban sprawl influenced by nearby Monash University. Despite its size, patrons feel immediately at home in "The Nott". There are several dining rooms, lounges and a beer garden, complete with wandering chickens, picnic benches and a towering peppercorn tree. Good, old-fashioned pub food such as French onion soup, calamari and steak cater to a range of tastes. House beer and wine and basic spirits will quench your thirst.
