True to its name, the Elwood Beach House evokes sensations of sun and surf all year round. It has a casual, all day breakfast and brunch feel about it with wooden floorboards and a mishmash of furniture--from communal bench tops to traditional tables and booths. The walk-up kiosk window means you do not even need to step inside. The extensive kids' menu is something special--everything costs around AUD5. Adult dishes include a selection of dips and huge house BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich) among other things.
