Blue Velvet's Smith Street location puts it in one of the city's most happening buzz neighbourhoods. It features two levels, each with a bar, and plays a diverse range of music. On Thursdays, DJs Kristian and Corrado play techno and house, while on Fridays it moves to a different beat. Belfry is one of the city's top industrial/Goth nights, drawing in a pale faced black clad crowd to dance insanely to their fave tunes. Sunday returns to more conventional club fare with progressive house and trance. Blue Velvet also has a private function room available free of charge.
