Very popular with vegetarians, vegans and their meat-eating friends, this eatery uses organic ingredients where possible. Rasa's would have to be in the running for Melbourne's smallest eatery, with half the premises occupied by the kitchen. There are a few chairs and tables inside, however on warmer days, grab a table on the pavement. The food is simple, inexpensive, hearty and flavorful. Choices include seitan (wheat meat) burgers, tofu burgers, brown rice, nori rolls and wholemeal sourdough pies. The fresh juices and smoothies are delicious and refreshing. Fruit-based desserts satisfy a sweet tooth safely.
